About

Heather and Michael were born, raised, and educated in Ottawa (They almost attended the same primary school). Heather has an older brother and a younger sister, whereas Michael is the older of two boys.

Heather and Michael met at Algonquin College in August 2003. Both taking the Electrical Engineering Technology program. Between working together in lab classes and on their third year project they have grown together with the formation of a strong friendship.

Michael chose the world’s longest skating rink as his venue to propose.  As a friend of Heathers said ‘if he can get down on one knee on skates he’s your kind of guy’.
